As a teacher, I agree. And what’s worse is that the common core came with
strings. The Federal Gov’t dangled a carrot in front of the states and said
if you want RTTT funds, you need higher standards (in come the common
core). They are standards that were not written by educators in the public
schools but rather “experts” in the fields. And if the standards weren’t
bad enough, the implementation (or roll out) was even WORSE! We’ve got
schools — including mine– that are still playing catch up. It’s
ridiculous. I agree with you Jesse – and the Federal Government has gotten
too big and too powerful. :/

We need to get fed everything out of the States, with very few exceptions.

  4. EDTHEWATERGUY says:

And that could be said about 95% of all the other things the federal
    government does too.

  5. Samuel Self says:

If a state can’t figure out how to educate then they should be able to ask
for help and guidance but NOT force lower standards on everyone else.
Stupid doesn’t get smart by outlawing intelligence.

  6. Timothy Little says:

We should put Jessie’s videos in classrooms. He’s more qualified than most,
    if not all, public instructors.

  7. Sal ty says:

    Maybe Minnesota can educate their kids but Idaho cannot do it very well;
    neither can Florida.

Please try and do what it takes and run for president, please! I don’t
know how else to fuel the possibility of this being a reality. I’ve spread
awareness throughout my family about you and I’m confident they’d vote for
you if it came down to it, and they’re all from very varied ends of the
spectrum. You make sense governor (any criticisms/advise I’ll leave for
later), and I’ll further do everything to help any plan of yours to
succeed, if and when you make one. If only I could back this with the kind
of financial resources that would be available to a CEO of a big
corporation, but I still have all my time and intellectual resources to
offer you for any moment. I’m sure I can influence others in the process.

I know it’s an immense commitment and insanely hard work what I’m asking,
but of course you don’t need me to tell you. Obviously you’ve given it
much thought and consideration. Every time I listen to you, my heart races
greater and greater and you provide me with hope. What good is this hope
however when I think to a large extent it’s only your followers which which
hear your message and to a great extent even understand it. I know you’ve
done and otherwise do so much already, but you’re the closest person I know
on any level, with a mind to get things done and truly fix things after
seeking the facts/truth, to have any chance at truly making a difference.
I am a very strict on myself when it comes to making conclusions,
decisions, or otherwise in scrutiny of my thoughts, and it is with utmost
consideration that I ask you to make this stand, the greatest one of all.
I will be with you for every step and stride.

PS- I hope it’s ok that I also send you this message directly so that I can
give you my information and you have a chance to respond. I wish you well
    governor!

We don’t need their neo socialist brain washing, our schools teach kids
nothing that’ll help them my 3 friends are illiterate, and they went to the
same schools i did,and made it to sophomore year in high school “and can’t
read”! This makes me sick on so many levels that its ridiculous. Oh but the
schools are all liberal , kids wear whatever they want dam near and the
schools tolerate girls dressing like hookers and promote too much social
interaction. No wonder they don’t know anything besides social skills.

  14. Kenny Zeng says:

I agree with you Governor Ventura.

  18. Kenny Upton says:

I would vote for Jesse Ventura. I don’t care if he doesn’t smooth talk(look
how far that shit has gotten Obama), what matters is his honesty and
integrity. If he can debate them, he can beat them.

The fed needs control of school so they can groom the next generation
    slaves of the corporations.

  20. Mrlz56 says:

The Dept. Of Education needs to take a hike. The government does nothing
but steal the money like they did and are still doing with social security.
Who gives them the right to take our SS money and put back a worthless IOU.
Someone needs to go to jail for that shi-

  21. Jake Martin says:

some of the smartest people in the world and in history were self taught.
so who the hell are we to blame anybody for lack of education. I would say
education and intelligence is brought forth by initiative of ones own
desire. you can’t force somebody into education, you have to let them
choose to be educated. Have you ever led a horse to water Jesse?

  22. Ander Pendragon says:

Why is the full video private? Are you trying to educate people or what?

    DEVARIM
    (Book of Deuteronomy)
    Chapter 6
    4
HEAR, O ISRAEL: THE HaShem OUR GOD, THE HaShem IS ONE.
    5
And thou shalt love HaShem thy G-d with all thy heart, and with all thy
soul, and with all thy might.
    6
    And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be upon thy heart;
    7
and thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of
them when thou sittest in thy house, and when thou walkest by the way, and
when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
    8
And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thy hand, and they shall be for
    frontlets between thine eyes.
    9
And thou shalt write them upon the door-posts of thy house, and upon thy
    gates

  25. Anthony Newman says:

Why do we need a billion or so of our dollars tax dollars given to a London
based testing for our school children. I wish I could give you the name
maybe I’ll think of it I know people that do know this name. It was started
by Bush and we’re being screwed over Chinese companies fan farms next to
the Bundy ranch. Lady Liberty it’s prostituted out so many different
    directions.
