According to Holick, and others, vitamin D intoxication is very rare.
Simply taking 5,000 iu’s of vitamin D per day has been shown to be safe. We
all need vitamin D production from exposure to the sun. If your shadow is
longer than you are, the sun is too low in the sky. So here in the UK, we
won’t make it until spring. Info from youtube.com/user/1imesub

A three month study by leading vitamin D researcher, Dr.Holick MD showed
that D2 is equally effective as D3. youtube.

your situation could have been detox symptomps, or a cold. Either way take
    enough vit. D3 (a min. of 2500-3000 i.u. a day for a min. of 4-6 months a
year starting with cold season). I live in northen europe so I take up to
    5000 i.u. a day for 8-9 months a year. I haven’t had a cold in 4 years….
so it’s not just the raw foods. This is an important vit.(hormone) that it
boost the immune system. anyway try it, inform yourself about it!!!!
    peace!!!

People shouldn’t supplement with D unless they have been tested with low
levels. Excess D supplementation is just as bad as not enough.

wait, so no advil? bc I’m dying right now and have to write a paper. i’m
having a lot of ginger in my juices but that takes so much of my energy in
    itself

Appreciate the input! I’d like to think I’m acclimated enough, but
sometimes I think the few cooked meals I do eat might be enough to screw up
how far I have come with the diet in general.

After about 6 months of being a vegan I got a little cold and my non-vegan
wife of course was like “looks like that fruit didn’t work too well for
yeah eh?” I had the cold for one day and it was unlike any other cold. Not
much mucus etc. Long story short my wife got the cold too, only she had it
    for 3 weeks. :)

A couple of years ago when I was eating LFRV, everyone I knew had
    horrendous flu. I didn’t. Wow! :-)

  19. angelbe88 says:

I hate to say this, but there things our bodies our subjected to outside of
what we are eating. Such as the chemical found in the environment. I don’t
think we can be in perfect health considering the world we live in, but we
can at least get to a higher place where we are less subsceptable to
    getting sick.

  20. VeganVeins says:

You might have already mentioned this in another video but I’m just
curious, is your girlfriend a lfrv too? :)

  21. CarbedUp VeganMuscle says:

Glad you’re doing better. I haven’t been sick in over a year since I
started the diet, but I’ve been playing a lot of late night gigs and then
having to wake up at 6AM and doing that day’s on end. It’s only for a short
time, but I had 12 gigs lined up for December, and 0 lined up for January.
I ran a low grade fever and my muscles ached for a few hours on Friday, but
I bounced back on Saturday, and I’ve had a chance to get a lot more sleep.

  22. Kelly S says:

I agree but I’m still suffering. Ah, and now my eyes and throat are hurting
too. The parents are forcing a doctors appointment on me. Kind of can’t
wait this one out! Guess I’m gonna have to be a chump :/

  23. IResonateWithU says:

Okay…so you bring up it being normal to get sick during transition…what
do we consider a normal transition period? Im not 100% raw, but I am
mostly. So transition could be indefinite until im 100%, or ? Clarity from
    anyone on this rocks :)

  24. Kelly S says:

not one to say this after just one video…. but I think I’m in love. haha
    :)

  25. natureasintended says:

    I did wonder :-)
